An Ode to Tsunami / Kepada Mu Tsunami

	The following poem was presented at Salam Aidil Adha - Hari Raya Haji Gathering organised by Fuchun CC MAEC on Saturday, 22 January 2005, at Fuchun CC Garden. The event was attended by a full-house audience of 250. Click Here for Photos of the event.

	1. Apabila kau menyapa tiada yang bisa berbuat apa-apa menyerah tanpa rela bangunan runtuh kampung halaman binasa seperti di kibas sayap garuda bumi indah berubah menjadi padang jarak padang terkukur semuanya rebah tersungkur *When you came greeting* none can do a thing surrender when the heart says never buildings collapsed villages destroyed as swiped by wings of the garuda beautiful earth changed into barren land all collapsed, flattened 3. Apabila tanganmu menyapa terluka hati dunia terbuka mata yang selama ini lena terketuk nurani manusia banjir air mata sama-sama meratapi derita dan keciwa sama-sama memberi apa yang ada When your hand waves the heart of the world hurts opening up the drowsy eyes knocking on the Conscience of Man flooded with tears together we mourn the pain, the disappointment together we give what we can	2. Ribuan jiwa diragut petaka yang hidup merayap-rayap mencari sanak-saudara sekujur tubuh besar ertinya yang hidup berkumpul semula yang mati ketahuan kuburnya yang hilang entah apa beritanya Thousand lives disaster snapped the living went crawling finding friends & siblings a full body means so much the living got together the dead in graves known the missing no news to bemoan 4. Tsunami kau pemusnah yang tidak pernah gagal umat manusia tak pernah keciwa seutuhnya bangunan yang tak mahu mengalah sepenuh azam akan terbina penghidupan indah yang pergi tetap pergi sisa peninggalanmu akan bangkit berdiri sebagai generasi baru yang peduli peka terhadap penderitaan sesama sendiri. Tsunami you are the destroyer that never failed disappointment in Mankind will never prevail like the buildings that surrender not with willpower a beautiful civilisation be brought the deceased will be forever gone the remnants of our lives will rise steadfast as new generation that cares minding the pain together we bear *- Anonymity Preferred By Writer -*
