On the 9th of December 2001, MAEC organised a trip to Geylang Hari Raya Bazaar and then followed by breakfast at 2 a.m. or Syahur at Sembawang Satay Club. We had a great time belting out Hari Raya songs on the  bus' karaoke on the way to the two destinations and did some good shopping. As in previous years when we organised the breaking of fast, the objective of the event is to develop family spirit among members and residents as well as to donate to Tabung Amal Aidilfitri while doing the shopping at Geylang Bazaar.

		For your info: "Syahur" is breakfast usually taken by Muslims in the wee hours of the morning or just before daybreak during the Holy Month of Ramadhan to prepare for the next day of fasting.
