This year’s Marsiling National Day Observance Ceremony was held together with Racial Harmony Day at Marsiling Secondary School premises on the morning of 9th August.  The event was organized by Marsiling Citizens’ Consultative Committee with the support of North West Community Development Council and all grassroots organizations in Marsiling. Fuchun CC MAEC members were in full force to help make the event a success.

Beside the Flag-raising and Pledge of Loyalty to the Nation Ceremony, there were also many interesting and unique activities for the no less than 1000 residents of different ages and ethnic backgrounds who attended the event to take part in, such as:

  • Traditional Exercises of Different Races

  • Traditional Games

  • National Day Fun Dance

  • Inter-Ethnic Cultural Quiz

  • Art Competition for Children

  • Jiq-Saw Puzzle

  • Sarong Soccer - Multi-Racial Soccer Tournament

  • Senior Citizens’ Birthday Celebration

  • Exhibition & Sale of Food of Different Cultures

  • Exhibition on the Different Religions, Cultures, and Traditions in Singapore

It was truly a joyous occasion for residents celebrating Singapore’s 37th Birthday.
